Norris won the online poll by receiving over 33% of the votes, totaling 347. St. Thomas Aquinas softball player Mattie Williams finished second with 282 votes.

Oyster River lacrosse player Ashlyn Szelog received 217 votes, Winnacunnet softball player Arden Langmaid had 121 votes and York softball player Sarah Orso had 69 votes, to round out the five nominees.

Norris won the 300 hurdles (51.01 seconds) and was third in the 100 hurdles (18.24), as Exeter placed second in a three-team meet at Nashua North on Tuesday, May 12.

"Karlee is an incredibly hard worker, she has been so focused on improving her hurdle form and had some really nice performances recently," Exeter track coach Laura Smith said. "300 hurdles are definitely her strongest event. It is ironic that she won, because she will unfortunately be missing the Seacoast meet (Friday, May 22) due to an injury at practice. It is such bad timing, and hopefully this win will help her heal quickly to be ready in time for (Division I) next week."

Cates recorded 25 saves in Spaulding's 15-5 loss to Kingswood on Friday, May 15.

"Maverick has put together a solid season for us and it’s nice to see him recognized," Spaulding head coach Ben Gregoire said. "He’s worked hard, and has been an important part of our team throughout the year. He competes and continues to improve each week. A standout performance was our win against Merrimack Valley where he made some big time saves. We’re happy to see him earn this honor."
