Based on the video she posted to show off her pregame fit for the game against the Phoenix Mercury, it appears Indiana Fever guard and WNBA star Sophie Cunningham is going to play on Thursday night.

Cunningham, who is listed as questionable to play after she came down with back spasms on Wednesday night prior to the game against the Los Angeles Sparks, showed off her pregame outfit on Instagram and didn’t appear to be having any issues with her back.

The Fever guard went in on the biker look for her pregame fit and sported a bikini-inspired top underneath.

“LETS ENJOY THE RIDE A LITTLE BIT AYYY?” she wrote in the caption of the post.

Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham (8) points to Phoenix Mercury forward-guard DeWanna Bonner (24) after an argument broke out Monday, June 22, 2026, during the game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The Indiana Fever defeated the Phoenix Mercury, 86-77.

Sophie Cunningham is officially listed as questionable to play due to her back spasms.

We’ll get a definitive update on her status shortly, but Cunningham’s video strongly suggests she’s going to play.

Cunningham suffered the injury during pregame warm-ups on Wednesday night and was listed as questionable to start the game but was able to play through the issue.

She finished with two points in 11 minutes.

Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham (8) points at Phoenix Mercury forward-guard DeWanna Bonner (24) as an argument broke out between the two players on Monday, June 22, 2026, during the game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The Indiana Fever defeated the Phoenix Mercury, 86-77.

This is the first game between the Indiana Fever and Phoenix Mercury since the controversy with Fever superstar Caitlin Clark and Mercury forward Alyssa Thomas.

Of course, Thomas hit Clark with multiple cheap shots, including a knee to the groin and a fist to the throat, during the previous Fever-Mercury contest on June 24.

Thomas was suspended for the first to the throat, and Clark missed a pair of contests after that game due to a back injury.

Clark made her return to action on Wednesday night against the Sparks, but she will not be suiting up as the Fever look to ease her in and don’t want Clark playing in a back-to-back.

That isn’t the only Mercury-Fever drama, though.

Cunningham got into a little dust-up with DeWanna Bonner in the June 22 game between the Mercury and Fever.

Cunningham pointed at Bonner for over 20 seconds in that contest and Bonner was enraged by that. It was a hilarious moment and the internet had plenty of fun with it.

The Fever guard said the reaction to her pointing stand-off with Bonner was “so goofy” and “fun to see” and her favorite meme from it was the Statue of Liberty version.

If Cunningham plays, we’ll be keeping a close eye on how she interacts with Bonner, and it will also be worth keeping an eye on how things go with Thomas and the Fever players.
