Watchung Hills 1, Hunterdon Central 0: Junior right-hander Riley Bobrowski fired a two-hit shutout, walking one and striking out 12, and Mia Simon’s sixth-inning home run proved the game’s lone tally and Watchung Hills avenged Tuesday’s loss to Hunterdon Central by the same score, sending the Red Devils to their first loss of the season. Central righty Emily Van Cleef was brilliant once again, allowing just the one run on three hits, walking two and fanning 11. Simon’s longball was just the second earned run the Red Devils ace has permitted this season. Leila Romero and Lia Long also picked up hits for the Warriors (12-4), while Cassie Stallwood picked up both knocks for Hunterdon Central (12-1).

North Hunterdon 1, Jefferson 0: Layla Francisco fired a one-hit shutout, walked none and struck out seven, and Morgan Penna singled and drove in the game’s lone run in the top of the first inning and North Hunterdon scored a much-needed super-impressive win, handing Jefferson its first loss of the season. Nadia Harris singled and scored the run for the Lions (9-6), while Ellie Russo notched the only other hit in the win.
Pingry 6, Bridgewater-Raritan 5: Sofia Phillipou delivered an RBI double to the left-center field gap in the bottom of the seventh inning, chasing home Melia Ahn, who had walked, all the way from first base and Pingry won a wild back-and-forth affair in walkoff fashion to stay undefeated in Skyland Conference play.
Each team scored two runs in the first inning, as Bridgewater-Raritan (9-4) got an RBI triple from Angela Tremarco and an RBI single from Briana Cacchio and the Big Blue (12-1) got a two-run single from Ahn. BR went up a run in the third when Tremarco scored on an error to make it 3-2, but Pingry hit for two runs in the bottom of the frame to make it 4-3, getting one on a passed ball and the other on an error.
The Panthers tied it in the fifth on an error, but Pingry had the immediate response, once again, going up 5-4 on an RBI double from Charlotte Hunzinger.
Tremarco, who finished hitting for the cycle, then led off the top of the seventh inning with a home run, but Pingry had the winner in the bottom of the frame.
