Hard to say. His dad seemed to really want him to go to a California school. Makes you wonder if it pushed him where he didn't want to be.

It's weird he hasn't shown up and quit. We'll probably find out more. He can always sit out a year and try to transfer. It's not like he needs a scholarship to pay for things.

It's always possible the academics were harder then his high school and/or partying/drugs/girls got in the way.

Or maybe the hits in college vs a small time Las Vegas school that's stacked with relative talent was a big jump.

Cordell informed me yesterday that he has decided to pursue other passions in his life - in particular his love of film through his company Film School Productions. Cordell is an amazing young man with many talents, and we wish him nothing but the best as he continues to pursue his degree at UCLA.

Good for him then, if he loves film and not football so much, more power to him. I just wonder if he got into UCLA on the football scholarship how that works now. They have a very solid film program there, but it is extremely competitive to get into. Sounds like he may not need their film program either, who knows.

Bishop Gorman is anything but a small-time Las Vegas school. They are always in the NATIONAL picture. They regularly beat the schools from AZ that come up to play them. Depending on the poll you look at they finished 1st, 2nd or 3rd last year in the national rankings and are in the same area again this year.

Bishop Gorman is anything but a small-time Las Vegas school. They are always in the NATIONAL picture. They regularly beat the schools from AZ that come up to play them. Depending on the poll you look at they finished 1st, 2nd or 3rd last year in the national rankings and are in the same area again this year.

At one point a year or two ago, Bishop Gorman had four D-I offensive linemen starting. If you ever get a chance to watch them play on television, it's like watching a legit D-I college team out there. IMO, that team could give a couple of FCS squads a run for their money. BG is very well coached and has an abundance of talent.
