Caitlin Clark made some terrible errors in the Indiana Fever’s overtime loss against the Las Vegas Aces, and Skip Bayless isn’t mincing his words in the aftermath.

The Las Vegas Aces and Indiana Fever played out one of the games of the WNBA season on Thursday night. The contest went to OT, with the Aces winning on a buzzer-beater from Chelsea Gray.

Gray was the undisputed heroine on the night. She also hit a dramatic buzzer beater to send the game to overtime in the first place. While she was the reason the Aces won, one player on the Fever can take a big chunk of the blame.

Caitlin Clark is one of the WNBA’s biggest superstars. But she had one of her worst games in the spotlight on Thursday. And the media that’s usually quick to praise her has been equally quick to criticize.

Skip Bayless calls out exact Caitlin Clark mistakes which cost Indiana the game

At the end of regulation time, Clark had an opportunity to ice the game with free throws, but somehow missed both. If that wasn’t bad enough, she committed the turnover that led to the Gray game-winner.

Skip Bayless has often spoken in support of Clark, but he was quick to point the finger at her after this game. He pointed to both of those plays while pinning the loss on Caitlin.

“This awful home loss is on Caitlin,” Bayless wrote on X. “Missed both clinching free throws late in reg, then terrible turnover late in OT.

“Chelsea Gray made her pay both times with stunning clutch 3s – to tie at the buzzer then win it at the buzzer. Congrats to Chelsea/Aces, who were down 20.”

The Fever were on an excellent run throughout July, with coach Stephanie White being named WNBA Coach of the Month. This loss has brought them crashing back down to earth though.

For Clark and her team, losing in this fashion could prove to be demoralising at a crucial point in the season. They will want to bounce back quickly and shake it off to finish the season strongly.
