Former Seattle Seahawks legend Russell Wilson finds himself in a very different place in his career than many Seahawks fans remember.

Wilson, who was one of the better quarterbacks in the NFL during his time in Seattle, has been around the league quite a bit over the past few years, ever since leaving the Seahawks in the 2021 offseason.

He's appeared in games for the Denver Broncos, Pittsburgh Steelers, and New York Giants. There have been reports that he could join the New York Jets, with the veteran even saying he has an offer on the table.

While it's always fair to suggest that a guy wants to continue playing football, especially one who has accomplished what Wilson has, some are starting to question whether the 37-year-old should even consider continuing to play at this level, including Skip Bayless, who questioned whether this is how he wants to end his career.

“I know he’s hanging on, but do you want to be the backup for a tanking team?” Bayless said, per Heavy. “Is that how you want to end it? Wait a minute, no, you’re Russell Wilson. You’re a Hall of Famer. You went to two Super Bowls, you won one, and a lot of people think you should have won the other one.”

I definitely get what Bayless is saying here, as from a legacy standpoint, it might not be the worst idea for Wilson to hang them up. However, guys don't often really care about those things as much as we think. If Wilson wants to continue playing football, that's exactly what he's going to do.
