The No. 33 overall selection in the 2025 NBA Draft, Sion James exceeded all expectations in his rookie campaign with the Hornets. James was Charlotte's only player to appear in all 82 regular season contests, earning a spot in the rotation due to his impressive perimeter defense.
James was one of three Hornets rookies to step into the rotation right away, along with another second-round pick, Ryan Kalkbrenner, and Kon Knueppel, James' former teammate at Duke. In 22.5 minutes per game, James averaged 5.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, two assists and 0.6 steals while shooting 35.2% from 3-point range.
