It's not insinuating anything...Stefanski literally named Dobbs 2nd string yesterday morning, with DTR 3rd string...then the trade happened. It's facts, not insinuation.
Ok - why do you think Cleveland was willing to trade Dobbs? Because DTR had supplanted him and they could get actual value from their 3rd string QB.
Or maybe the 5th round pick was what it took to pry him away from Cleveland. I would bet that the Browns were happy to keep him and Monti just wasn't offering enough, until he was. The facts remain, he was named the backup yesterday, just a couple hours before the trade. It's in Stefanski's daily press conference. Every player is available...for a price.
