There have been few NFL players who simultaneously found as much success and generated as much controversy as Antonio Brown did during the 2010s and early 2020s. Now, his name is about to be the subject of one of the biggest debates yet over his legacy.

That's because Brown will be eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame for the first time in 2027, and he will likely garner some attention as a potential first ballot candidate. And after an electric 12-year career in the NFL, there is certainly a case to be made that Brown deserves that honor.

Antonio Brown is eligible to be inducted into the Pro Football HOF in 2027.

Brown had a storied career in the NFL, becoming a seven-time Pro Bowl selection and five-time All-Pro selection – including four consecutive first-team All-Pro honors from 2014-2017. He also helped lead the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the Super Bowl LV Championship, and twice led the NFL in receptions (2014, 2015) and receiving yards (2014, 2017). He also led the league in receiving touchdowns in 2018.

He finished his NFL career with 146 appearances and 110 starts. During that stretch, he hauled in 928 receptions for 12,291 receiving yards and 83 touchdowns. He also served as a kick returner and punt returner during his time with the Steelers, becoming the first player to have more than 1,000 yards receiving and returning in a single season in NFL history in 2012 and finishing his career with 2,390 return yards and five return touchdowns.
