Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has claimed sole possession of the record for the most consecutive 20-point games in NBA history.
Gilgeous-Alexander extended his streak to 127 games during the OKC Thunder's home game against the Boston Celtics on Thursday. He surpassed Wilt Chamberlain, who had held the record since 1963.
Gilgeous-Alexander reached the 20-point mark by burying a 20-foot jumper with 7:04 left in the third quarter.
Gilgeous-Alexander's streak dates back to Nov. 1, 2024. The last time he didn't score at least 20 points during a regular-season game was 497 days ago.
