That’s accurate.
The injury itself is healed. He should be working on getting back into football shape, rebuilding strength, etc. etc.
I do think they want to see him play this season heading into a contract year.

I'd imagine it's more mental than anything. I've never had anything that serious but once badly did my ankle playing sports and was laid up for several weeks. Even with that I recall being tentative about doing anything with it for a while.
I can imagine that being out of action for more than a year and only working out in controlled environments would leave someone gun shy about playing ball full speed. The fear of doing it again must be high. Especially as I recall he was non contact right?
