District battles, big tournaments and deep postseason dreams await Sequoyah in a loaded 2025 softball schedule.

The Lady Eagles will open their 2025 campaign on the road against Lincoln Christian on Aug. 11, kicking off a busy stretch that includes more than 13 home games, three tournaments and pivotal district doubleheaders.

Sequoyah will get an early look at its district rivals, including back-to-back matchups with Lincoln Christian (Aug. 11 and 14), Dewey (Aug. 18 and 19), Salina (Aug. 25 and 26), Adair (Sept. 8 and 9), Commerce (Sept. 15 and 16) and Kansas (Sept. 22 and 23). In all, the Lady Eagles will play 12 district games that could determine postseason seeding.

Tournament play will give the team additional chances to test its depth and talent, starting with the Nowata Tournament (Aug. 15-16), followed by the Sequoyah Festival (Aug. 22-23) and the OKU Tournament (Sept. 18-20).

Nondistrict matchups include visits from Nowata, Rejoice Christian, Inola, Booker T. Washington, Vinita, Porter and Locust Grove while road games at Wyandotte, Rejoice, Chelsea, Inola and Locust Grove will further prepare the Lady Eagles for the postseason.

Beyond regular season play, Sequoyah will compete in the regional tournament (Oct. 2-4) and potentially the super regionals (Oct. 9-11) and the OSSAA State Tournament (Oct. 16-18).

With a balanced schedule and key home dates, the Lady Eagles will look to build momentum and contend for a deep run in the fall.
