Michigan basketball is seeing quite a bit of turnover year over year -- last year with much of the team departing due to the coaching change, but this year, it's a little different.
The Wolverines are losing one player to graduation in transfer center Vladimir Goldin, with his center compatriot Danny Wolf departing with a year of eligibility remaining. They'll try their hands in the NBA now that they're departing Ann Arbor and the first real step towards making the professional ranks comes in the NBA scouting combine.
On Friday, the list of players invited to the combine was revealed, and not only were both former Wolverines invited, so was incoming transfer Yaxel Lendeborg, who is deciding between coming to Ann Arbor or heading off to the league.
Of course, the hope for Michigan basketball fans is that Goldin and Wolf will test through the roof and hear their names called early in the draft but that Lendeborg will find himself grading lower than his desire, thus choosing to come to Ann Arbor for a year to build his draft stock.
Either way, head coach Dusty May has rebuilt the team this offseason with four transfers -- Lendeborg, guard Elliot Cadeau, forward Morez Johnson Jr., and center Aday Mara.
