See where Livingston County wrestling teams compete in districts

Four of the five wrestling teams in Livingston County are in the state rankings heading into the postseason.

Hartland is No. 2, Brighton No. 3 and Howell No. 10 in Division 1. Fowlerville is No. 14 in Division 2.

The goal for each is to end up at Wings Event Center in Kalamazoo for the team finals Feb. 27-28. The path begins Wednesday, Feb. 11 with team districts.

Then they will shift focus to the individual portion of the tournament for the district round on Saturday, Feb. 14. Girls will hold districts on Sunday, Feb. 15, with a team champion being determined for the first time.

Here is the county schedule for the district round of the wrestling postseason:

Division 1, District 105

At Walled Lake Northern

Wednesday, Feb. 11

Lakeland vs. Hartland, 5 p.m.

Milford vs. Walled Lake Northern, 5 p.m.

Championship, 6:30 p.m.

(Winner advances to regional semifinals vs. West Bloomfield district winner on Wednesday, Feb. 18)

Division 1, District 116

At Brighton

Wednesday, Feb. 11

Okemos vs. Howell, 6 p.m.

Championship: Brighton vs. Okemos-Howell winner, 7:15 p.m.

(Winner advances to regional semifinals vs. Grand Ledge district winner on Wednesday, Feb. 18)

Division 2, District 154

At Fowlerville

Wednesday, Feb. 11

Lansing Eastern vs. Fowlerville, 5:30 p.m.

Haslett vs. Williamston, 5:30 p.m.

Championship, 7 p.m.

(Winner advances to regional semifinals vs. Parma Western district winner on Wednesday, Feb. 18)

Division 3, District 191

At Dundee
