Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix was recently ranked as the 16th-best quarterback among 2026 signal-callers by NBC analyst Chris Simms.
In an article published in early June, Simms ranked the best 43 quarterbacks in the NFL. Simms sandwiched Nix just ahead of San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy, and just behind Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love. Broncos backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham also made Simms' list at No. 40, just ahead of Colorado Buffaloes phenom Shedeur Sanders and behind the Cleveland Browns presumptive starter Deshaun Watson.
Nix was ranked behind several members of his 2024 NFL draft class, including the Washington Commanders' Jayden Daniels (No. 9), New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye (No. 8), and Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams (No. 6). Nix was also ranked as the third-best quarterback in the AFC West, behind Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (No. 4) and Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert (No. 7), even though Herbert has yet to win a playoff game.
Nix has been overlooked as a game-changing quarterback going into Year 3, but he'll aim to change how he is seen as it pertains to the team. Nix was so close to his first championship appearance, derailed only by a broken ankle in the playoffs. He looks to rebound better than ever in 2026.
