The Denver Broncos have what many believe is a Super Bowl-caliber roster heading into the 2026 season. However, perhaps the biggest question facing the team surrounds quarterback Bo Nix and how he will bounce back from a broken ankle in the divisional round of last year's playoffs.
Nix and the Broncos clearly feel that the ankle will not be an obstacle in 2026, but when media outlets rank quarterbacks in the league, Nix is often placed disrespectfully low. That's what makes these recent rankings by Bleacher Report's Scouting Department so refreshing.
Bleacher Report ranked 55 current quarterbacks, and Nix came in just outside the top 10, at No. 11, in the "Pro Bowl caliber" list. Nix was given a Madden-style rating of 85.
The list of quarterbacks ranked ahead of Nix looks like this: Brock Purdy, Jordan Love, Dak Prescott, Lamar Jackson, Drake Maye, Joe Burrow, Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert, Josh Allen and Matthew Stafford, the league's reigning MVP.
While one can argue that some of those players should not be ahead of Nix, or debate the order of the top 10 itself, it's hard to argue with Nix being at No. 11, as many other rankings usually have him outside the top 15.
Nix and the Broncos seem to still be in a battle for respect outside of Broncos Country, despite the team being the AFC's No. 1 seed last year and Nix taking the Broncos to the playoffs in each of his first two seasons. But his overall talent and the promise he brings to Denver as a team on the cusp of a championship run have not been lost on everyone.
