L: Bulldogs win season-opener, 400th win for coach Scott Gilman. Jake Benitez drove in first run of the game with triple in bottom of fourth, 2 for 3; Bulldogs scored four runs in bottom of sixth; Carson Beardsley RBI, sacrifice fly; Grant Francis RBI-single; Harper Rowe double; Seth Eadie 3 2/3 innings, 7 strikeouts; Oliver Taylor, winning pitcher, 2 innings, 3 strikeouts; Kaidan O'Connor 1 1/3 innings, 3 strikeouts.

P: Walker Briggs 5 innings, 1 unearned run, 1 hit, 8 strikeouts; Max Wiewert 1 hit; Pat Ferleto 1 hit; Eight Yellowjackets (0-1) hitters walked.

Wayland-Cohocton 6, Keshequa 5

Way-Co: Ethan Loop RBI-single with one out in the bottom of the seventh drove in Orion Walker to win the game for the Golden Eagles (1-0). Loop 3 RBI; Walker winning pitcher, 2 1/3 relief innings, four strikeouts, also 2 for 4, triple, scored 3 runs; Hayden Wolfanger 4 1/3 innings, 2 runs, 2 hits, 8 strikeouts.
