The Seattle Mariners are currently coming out on a winning end of a 10-game road trip.

The Mariners beat the Baltimore Orioles 6-5 in a 10-inning showdown on Tuesday to improve to 2-0 in the four-game series and 3-2 halfway through the road trip.

Seattle is currently in the driver's seat in the American League West. Following its win against Baltimore, the M's are 36-32 and three games ahead of the Texas Rangers for first place in the division.

A solid performance in the latter half of the road trip could set the rest of the division up in catch-up mode with the Mariners for a large chunk, if not the entirety of the rest of the season.

Any catch-up has large chunk of becoming significantly harder for the division with the impending return of one of Seattle's best players.

Mariners starting catcher and 2025 American League MVP finalist Cal Raleigh began his rehab assignment with the High-A Everett AquaSox on Sunday.

Raleigh finished his rehab game with Everett 1-for-3 with his one hit being a single while being the team's designated hitter.

Raleigh was reassigned to the Triple-A Tacoma Rainiers for a game against the Albuquerque Isotopes on Tuesday, in which the Rainiers won 15-3.

In that game, Raleigh, who returned to his typical position at catcher, went 2-for-3 with two runs and six RBIs.

Both of the 2025 All-Star's hit were home runs. The first was a two-run shot in the bottom of the first inning.

The second of Raleigh's two blasts was a grand slam in the bottom of the fifth.

Raleigh's first homer had an exit velocity of 104 miles per hour and went 326 feet. His second had an exit velo of 95.1 mph and went 354 feet.

Raleigh was placed on the 10-day injured list due to a right oblique strain May 14. His current stint on the injured list is his first in his career.

The injury first popped up for Raleigh toward the beginning of May, which forced him to miss three total games in series against the Kansas City Royals and Atlanta Braves. He attempted to play through the injury but the persistent nature of the ailment forced him to go on the shelf.

Raleigh, in addition to the top half of Seattle's order (center fielder Julio Rodriguez, first baseman Josh Nalyor, left fielder Randy Arozarena) all had respective slow starts to the beginning of the season. All of the latter three have started to heat up, but Raleigh suffered the injury before he had a chance to shake off his slow start.

Before landing on the injured list, Raleigh had a slash line of .161/.243/.317 with a .560 OPS in 41 games and hit four doubles and seven home runs with 18 RBIs.

The current plan for Raleigh is to play the rest of the homestand with the Triple-A club at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma, Wash., which will extend through June 14.

If things go well while he's with the Rainiers, Raleigh could be activated ahead of the team's next homestand, which will begin with a three-game series against Baltimore at 6:40 p.m. PT on June 16 at T-Mobile Park in Seattle.
