The post you made over on Broncosfreak is just pathetic though. What a wasted use of your ASU education...I assume you went there although I think they have pretty stringent admissions standards so judging by your post you may not have.
I never understand anyone (not just you but anyone) who hates a team so much that they waste their time talking or posting about them.

If I simply hated the Bidwills, you would be absolutely correct in your assessment.
But the fact is that they are directly endeavoring to bankrupt ASU's athletic department, probably in an effort to both gain cash and to cripple the ability of ASU to be a significant competitor to their franchise. Consider that ASU had just over 60K people in the stands last Saturday. The Cards will have between 22K and 25K. Do you believe that Bidwill isn't bitter about that?
To summarize, I post about them because they are endeavoring to destroy a team I love. Getting more information out there works against their ends and so I post about them and about how I feel about them.
FWIW - I graduated in '99 from the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, now the Ira A. Fulton College of Engineering.

Maybe you should have taken a few electives in the Social Sciences building.
Of course that building's been condemned (no doubt due to Bidwill's draft day trade) but you could probably pick up some self-help info from one of the kiosks if you reach through the "No Trespassing" tape.
Speaking of ASU's complete idiocy in managing itself and ignorant fools, such as yourself, that would put blame for ASU's financial short comings on a somebody paying rent to ASU (take a peek at some of those logic and sound reasoning classes if you decide to go back), chew on this.
All that has to be done to turn ASU into a top notch school and keep the legislature from having to worry about how much money to give ASU, etc. is to offer ASU to the public. Someone will purchase ASU. That money would go to the state, lowering taxes (if you use your vote correctly). Then, the owner of ASU would have an incentive to make ASU a better school to compete with other schools. The buildings that have been condemned (such as the social sciences building) would be fixed and bad teachers would be fired.
The problem now is that the money is so micromanaged within the budget and there is so much red tape to cut through to reallocate money that the budget is necessarily bloated and misallocated. Get the government out of schools.
Surely a conservative fellow like yourself can relate? Or are you simply going to whine and point fingers without looking in the mirror?
Your thoughts?

If you're going to argue the conservative political platform, I don't necessarily have a problem with that. It's still my alma mater and public or private wouldn't bother me.
FWIW, in the past year the new president has secured $200 Million in private donations to various schools on campus, so ASU is not completely dependent on state funding. Similarly, much of ASU's salaries, etc. are paid with federal gov't research grants.
That doesn't change the fact that what Bidwill is doing is unethical and immoral. The fact that he pays rent there is beside the point as it does not cover costs. ASU athletics is losing money on Cards games.

Most places would have charged a rent plus game day expenses and been happy with that –
But ASU decided to retain the bulk of concessions, parking, etc and also cover all the expenses associated with the game—meaning—they were assuming the risk of attendance levels and the stadium’s profitability. Why you would want to assume that risk on something you cant control is beyond me. This is why they made the comment that the wish the Cardinals would win some games…..and draw some more fans.
Finally – there is lots of blame for shoddy behavior on both sides of this dispute.

You are probably right on why ASU is losing money on the rent - and I was not privy to those negotiations so I don't know if ASU or the Cards even went that direction.
As for shoddy behavior on both sides of this specific dispute, I completely disagree. The Bidwills had opportunities to confront ASU about the signage but chose not to. Furthermore, they benefitted from the improvements paid for by the added signage. ASU asked the Cards to respond and the Cards never did, so ASU went ahead. The only thing ASU did 'wrong', was to interpret a contract the way it was originally intended, and to write the contract in such a manner that it could be deemed ambiguous. That the Cards would exploit that is the unconscionable action.

The Cards have the most cap room in the NFL - by far.
The Cards have the 'class' to sue a non-profit, state funded institution on a technicality, and then 'run-up' their damages claims.
The Cards, until this year, couldn't even fork over the dough to insure thier first round picks.
The Cards traded down for two picks so that they would have an easier time signing them, picked guys who were a reach considering where they picked them (I guess 5 years from now we might say it was a good move, but to date.... ????) and still didn't get them signed too quickly.
And you're a fan of this team? Congratulations on your loyalty.
