As of Saturday morning, the get-in price is up to $1,456 for those wanting to watch Team USA in their group stage closer.
“Hopefully today, with this performance, they can see and connect with us,” midfielder Weston McKennie said.
“I think that’s something we want to be, relatable. And they can see the joy that we have when we play.
“And then for the people (who) maybe say, ‘Oh, soccer’s boring’ — well, you had five goals today. So, hopefully they might not say that anymore, and feel the electricity in the stadium, and the passion, by viewing the fans that have been with us for years and for decades — and even from Paraguay fans.
“I think that’s one thing that’s gonna change soccer here, having the World Cup here. I think a lot of people will be touched by the passion that a lot of the fans have.”
Soccer fans attend a watch party at Skinny Slim’s in Oklahoma City for the FIFA World Cup game between the United State’s men’s team and, Friday, June 12, 2026.
USMNT manager Mauricio Pochettino also spoke about the impact that playing in front of a massive crowd had on the team.
“The fans were amazing,” Pochettino said. “On behalf of the whole team, a massive thank you to the fans. The energy translated to the team was amazing.
“I’m so proud, we are all so proud. I think we’re winning fans, adding fans to this sport in America.”
Fans are doing whatever they can to power the U.S., including opening up their wallets to cheer the team on.
