Yeah. You also said there was pretty much no chance we lose tonight also.
Not no chance this was the Toughest game of the 3 but your right I am very surprised with this performance.

I think it will get them properly motivated.

Crowder was 0-5, Booker 3-15, Nader 0-2, Cam Johnson 4-10 and Payne 3-9 from the field.

There is the game in a nutshell and I'm not even mentioning the Suns defense which failed to rotate.

Booker and Crowder didn’t earn their salary tonight and neither were playing against an MVP.

Booker had covid so there’s that. Crowder makes 10M so comparing his output or lack of output to someone trying to garner a max paycheck isn’t comparable.

Also Denver shot 17-39 from three for 43.6%. Suns shot 14-37 from three for 37.8%.

Rebounding was nearly the same.

That’s a terrible analysis. Which player does the team depend upon more? Which is considered the better player? Ayton played like arse after the first quarter. In both ends of the court.

That said, he had plenty of help as has been pointed out.

Btw:

1 game
1 rushed 2-for-1 three pointer by book to end quarter.
Nothing changing there.

Hopefully this bad performance will wake up these guys, last year is in the rear view. Let’s see where we are after 30 games.

Booker’s weeks removed from COVID, unless he has long hauler, which is possible. But he had no interest in playing tonight.

This team prided itself on few turnovers last season. Even elite teams can't turn the ball over like that and expect to win. I sure hope this is not a sign of things being different this season. It's only one game but man....way to crap the bed on your opener.

A Lakers win on Friday would sure make me forget about this loss pretty quickly.

Like I said earlier in the thread, opening night and beginning of the season always has some surprising results. I ain’t worried at this point.

The Suns defense let them down with their failure to rotate on open threes.

Their shooting was the other half of the equation.

The Suns looked awful tonight. But they were awful in a similar way to how they were awful a few times last season as well. This team just seems to have these types of games every so often. Hopefully they are as rare this season as they were last season.

I know chemistry is an overused cliche but they do have new rotational players. Maybe that just led to too many turnovers, guys not in the right position and things like that. It will take time to build trust with the new guys as well.

Played as bad as you can ...Nuggs were hot...still felt like we were in the game till about 5 mins left. Not worried. Ayton...very freaking worried.
KAT looking better every time I think of it.

This hurts but I can live with it. They did look good for the first half and part of the second quarter. Maybe they needed to get smacked upside the head like Denver did.

I trust they'll figure things out quickly, probably right along Booker as he gets his wind back.

Booker and Monty said communication was a problem on defense.

One position cost the Suns this game. Take a wild guess which one...
