The Denver Broncos made a surprise move on Tuesday when they fired offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi. That wasn't the only change to coach Sean Payton's staff.

A few hours after the Lombardi news broke, Denver confirmed that firing and announced the additional departures of wide receivers coach Keary Colbert and cornerbacks coach Addison Lynch. The Broncos now have three open positions to fill this offseason (and that number could grow if they lose any coaches to other clubs).

"I want to thank these coaches for playing an important role in elevating our program over the last three seasons," Payton said in a statement. "I've been fortunate to work with Joe Lombardi for 15 years and am particularly grateful for his many contributions to our success as offensive coordinator.

"We sincerely appreciate Joe, Keary and Addison's hard work and wish them all the best in the future."

Davis Webb could be a strong in-house candidate to replace Lombardi if he does not head a head coach job elsewhere. We will continue to track all of Denver's coaching changes on Broncos Wire.
