Sean Payton's adding another coach to his staff.

The Denver Broncos are expected to hire Doug Belk as their new defensive backs coach, according to a report from Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports. Denver has an opening at that position after former DBs coach Jim Leonhard left the club to become the Buffalo Bills' new defensive coordinator.

Belk, 38, coached defensive backs at USC from 2024-2025. Before that, he spent time at Houston (2019-2023), West Virginia (2017-2018) and Alabama (2014-2016) after starting his coaching career at Valdosta State (2011-2013). Belk played quarterback, wide receiver and running back at Carson-Newman University, a Division II program in Tennessee. He has now landed his first coaching job in the NFL.
