The Seattle Seahawks are re-signing defensive tackle Brandon Pili to a one-year, $2 million contract, according to sources.
Tom Pelissero reported it first, just after noon today.
Pili was an important depth piece for Seattle in their Super Bowl-winning 2025 campaign. He did the dirty work consistently, without ever starting a game or playing more than 20 snaps in a single week, but gave their star defensive tackles important reps off and the team a different look as more of a true nose tackle. It seems the Seahawks liked him backing up Leonard Williams and Byron Murphy II enough that they decided to bring him back, and found a reasonable value to do so.
Since they don’t need a backup to rotate with them on every set of downs, the team needed their depth signing at the position to be dependable yet cost-efficient. At just $2 million, the Seahawks should still have around $30-35 million in cap space depending on how much they officially sign Rodney Thomas II for.
Pili played in 13 games last season, with his most memorable moment being this forced fumble on special teams against the Washington Commanders. He also recorded 12 tackles.
