Scottie Scheffler Shares Viral Handshake with Jack Nicklaus After Memorial Tournament Win originally appeared on Athlon Sports.

The world’s No. 1 ranked golfer, Scottie Scheffler, continues to prove why he’s on a different level, capturing his third PGA Tour win this year at “Jack's Place” in Dublin, Ohio. Scheffler joined Tiger Woods as only the second professional to win back-to-back at the Memorial Tournament — a course he clearly knows well.

Despite the course’s toughness, Scheffler put together a convincing victory, finishing 10-under for the weekend — four strokes ahead of runner-up Ben Griffin, who is also having a fantastic year on Tour.

Starting Sunday with a one-shot lead, Scheffler’s two-under round secured the win, and he never trailed throughout the final 18 holes.

After the victory, Scheffler shared a now-viral handshake with tournament host Jack Nicklaus, who traditionally greets every winner at the 18th hole.

"Best in the world," someone else added.

One more fan commented, "Big win. Only the beginning."

Following the victory, an emotional Scottie Scheffler spoke to CBS Sports reporter Amanda Balionis about his impressive run—his third win in his last four tournament appearances and seven consecutive top-10 finishes.

“Yeah, it’s pretty cool,” Scheffler said when asked about shaking Jack Nicklaus’ hand for the second straight year. “Overall, it was a great week, and I’m definitely proud to be shaking Mr. Nicklaus’ hand.”
