Scottie Scheffler's impressive 2026 season has already netted him a major payday, and there's plenty more at stake over the next few weeks.
For the fourth time in five years, Scheffler finished the season atop the PGA Tour's regular-season money standings, a distinction that comes with a $10 million bonus in 2026. Although Scheffler (along with Rory McIlroy) is nearing Tiger Woods as the Tour's career money leader, this bonus is considered unofficial and doesn’t count towards his earnings.
According to the Tour, the FedEx Cup Playoffs offer up nearly $100 million in total bonus money and event purses. The first two playoff events feature $20 million purses each (and $3.6 million in first-place money), the season-ending Tour Championship offers a $40 million purse with a $10 million top prize for the champion, and an additional bonus pool distributes huge payouts based on final standings.
In terms of the career earnings list, the 2026 season began with Woods still holding firm in the top spot with $120.99 million, but Rory McIlroy ($107.98 million) and Scottie Scheffler ($99.45 million) were closing in on him fast.
