Get your votes in by noon Friday for high school boys’ basketball top performer for the week of Feb. 16-21:
Peyton Auler, Tipton: Auler finished with 16 points, three assists, two rebounds and one steal in a 71-48 loss to Oak Hill, then went for 30 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in a 69-67 loss to Twin Lakes, followed by 25 points, five assists and three rebounds in a 79-57 loss to Lafayette Jeff.
DeZhon Hall, Crispus Attucks: The senior guard had 32 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals in an 88-65 win over Purdue Poly Englewood and put up 53 points, six rebounds and four assists in an 81-62 win over Tindley.
JaShawn Ladd, Ben Davis: The senior guard and Akron commit had 25 points on 9-for-12 shooting with five assists and three steals in Ben Davis’ 72-59 win over Cathedral.
Jacoby Miller, Greensburg: The junior had a big three-game week, starting with 23 points, five rebounds and three steals in a 48-46 loss to Seymour. He then had 22 points, five rebounds and four steals in a 74-62 win over South Decatur and 30 points on 6-for-9 shooting from the 3-point line, along with four rebounds and three steals in a 66-52 loss to South Ripley.
Sherman Moss-Wright, Ben Davis: The senior guard and UIndy commit had 11 points, 11 assists and five rebounds in a 72-59 win over Cathedral. It was the second consecutive double-double for Moss-Wright, who had 10 points, 12 assists and six rebounds in the previous game against Lawrence Central, a 75-59 win.
Clay Mullins, Greenfield-Central: The senior finished with 32 points on 6-for-10 shooting from the 3-point line with six rebounds and two assists in a 60-52 win over East Central. Mullins then went for 21 points on 4-for-6 shooting from 3 with eight rebounds and four assists in a 64-51 win over Martinsville.
Blake Neill, Bloomfield: The senior had another big week with 29 points and 12 rebounds in a 66-42 win over North Central (Farmersburg) and went for 36 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocked shots in an 87-46 win over North Knox. He is now the all-time leading scorer in Greene County basketball history to pass the previous mark of 2,213 career points by former Linton-Stockton star Lincoln Hale.
Micah Norman, Milan: The senior scored 32 points in a 64-62 overtime loss to Waldron as he became the program’s all-time scoring leader. Norman broke Ryan Hixson’s record of 1,545 points that had stood for 26 years.
Trey Page, Sheridan: The junior had 34 points on 6-for-9 shooting from the 3-point line and added five rebounds, three assists and two steals in a 72-44 win over Western Boone. He added 18 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals in a 59-31 win over North Montgomery.
Kamdon Partenheimer, Forest Park: Partenheimer had a big week with nine points, seven rebounds and one blocked shot in a 47-40 win over Boonville, followed by 21 points, six rebounds and one blocked shot in a 73-58 loss to state-ranked Princeton and 24 points, 15 rebounds, three assists and three blocked shots in a 53-46 win over Tecumseh.
Eli Sego, Triton Central: The senior guard had 19 points in a 45-34 win over Monrovia, then broke the school’s career scoring record with 27 points, four rebounds, four steals and three assists in a 57-45 win over Beech Grove.
Cooper Sims, Pendleton Heights: The senior guard had 28 points on 9-for-11 shooting with four rebounds in a 55-34 win over New Castle, then shot 9-for-11 again to finish with 24 points, four rebounds and three steals in a 60-40 win over Delta and closed the week with 23 points and three rebounds (11-for-14 from free-throw line) in a 76-66 win over Muncie Central.
Cason Soots, Covenant Christian: The senior had 27 points (making five 3-pointers) in an 85-67 win over KIPP Indy Legacy. Soots also had 27 points on 8-for-9 shooting (four 3-pointers) in a 78-77 loss to Lapel.
Sam Tokar, Yorktown: The junior had 12 points and 15 rebounds in a 70-53 win over Muncie Central and put up 18 points in a 75-56 win over Wapahani.
Will Tonagel, Oak Hill: The freshman had 19 points, four assists, three rebounds and three steals in a 71-48 win over Tipton, scored 19 points again in a 72-65 win over Marion, adding six assists, five rebounds and three steals, and 11 points, four rebounds and two assists in a 55-19 win over Elwood.
Baron Walker, Noblesville: The senior guard and Butler commit exploded for 32 points in a 56-46 win over Avon and put up 20 points in the Millers’ 70-51 win over New Haven.
Derek Watson Jr., Metropolitan: The senior had 23 points, seven rebounds, three blocked shots and two steals in a 60-44 loss to 4A Avon.
