Next Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots will face off in Super Bowl LX. Seattle’s Sam Darnold is set to become the first ever USC quarterback to start a Super Bowl.

The game will be played at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California. This is notable because during his time with the Trojans, Darnold, who is from Southern California, never lost a start in the Golden State.

In Darnold’s 16 USC starts in the state of California, the Trojans went 16-0. That record included a 12-0 mark at the Coliseum, road victories over UCLA and Cal, the classic 2017 Rose Bowl against Penn State, and the 2017 Pac-12 Championship Game versus Stanford, which was also played at Levi’s Stadium.

In the NFL, Darnold’s record in California has been more mixed, with a 2-3 mark in starts. On Sunday, he will look to recreate his USC success and earn what would be his biggest win in his home state.
