Standout LSU Tigers cornerback Mansoor Delane has set up formal visits with the New Orleans Saints and Miami Dolphins ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft, per NFL draft insider Ryan Fowler. Each team is allowed 30 visits to their headquarters to meet with coaches, personnel executives, and team doctors. Sometimes it indicates heavy interest in the player. Sometimes it means they need questions answered. Either way, Delane is on their radar. Fowler adds that Delane has also scheduled a 30 visit with the Tennessee Titans. Wide receivers Chris Bell (Louisville) and Makai Lemon (USC) have both set 30 visits with the Saints.
Delane, 22, is a potential top-10 pick after his stellar senior season at LSU; he only allowed 14 catches on 35 targets across 11 games, intercepting two passes and breaking up seven others. He also didn't draw a single penalty. He transferred to Baton Rouge after three good years at Virginia Tech. Among 128 qualifying college cornerbacks, Delane allowed the second-best passer rating in man coverage (28.3) and ranked first in zone coverage (14.6). He's a baller.
With Alontae Taylor having left the Saints in free agency, don't be shocked if Delane is in play at eighth overall. Kool-Aid McKinstry and Quincy Riley were inconsistent as a starting duo and Isaac Yiadom's lack of experience in the slot means they could shake up the group. Starting Delane at one side with Riley at the other and McKinstry moving to the coveted "star" position Jalen Ramsey and Derwin James played could be the best path forward. It's a role McKinstry filled in Nick Saban's defense at Alabama for years. The Saints need more help at corner, and Delane just might be in play.
