With NFL free agency already underway and many of the big signings out of the way, the next big event on the schedule for the league is the draft. The New Orleans Saints took advantage of it last year, finding their franchise left tackle and quarterback in the first two rounds, alongside multiple other quality players with their remaining picks.
2026 has started off relatively quickly when it comes to their pre-draft meetings, and one of the first ones to hit the docket is with Miami of Ohio running back Jordan Brunson. Easton Butler of 247Sports affiliate site Packer Report noted that Brunson met with the Cincinnati Bengals, Tennessee Titans, and Saints at his Pro Day, which took place back on March 3.
Brunson is an interesting name to watch during Day 3 of the NFL Draft, as he broke out in a big way during his senior season. His efficiency has always been strong, but 2025 was his first real chance as a bell cow in the team's offense, and he made the most of it. In 164 carries, he posted 767 yards (4.7 average) and 4 touchdowns, putting him No. 9 in the entire MAC in regards to yards on the ground.
His productivity comes from some truly impressive raw power, and at 6-foot even, 230 pounds, he has some exceptional size to work out of the backfield. While this limits his receiving upside, it makes him an exceptional complement to the current Saints running back group.
