This is interesting -- the New Orleans Saints have scheduled a visit with Arkansas Razorbacks wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa, per The Draft Network's Ryan Fowler, which would be one of 30 formal visits to the team headquarters in Metairie. These official visits usually include detailed medical exams with team doctors, lengthy interviews with coaches and team brass, and maybe some on-field drills for team-specific metrics. In the past, for example, the Saints have asked offensive linemen to punch padded pressure plates to find who can deliver the most power.
TeSlaa is one of the most athletic players in this draft class; after weighing in at 6-foot-3 and 214 pounds, he timed the 40-yard dash in 4.43 seconds at the NFL Scouting Combine while earning top marks in both the agility drills and the jumps. That made for a 9.93 Relative Athletic Score, which ranked 29th out of 3,815 receivers to enter the league since 1987. He's an agile, explosive talent and should hear his name called on the third day of the 2025 NFL draft.
So why shouldn't he expect to be drafted sooner? TeSlaa's athleticism didn't always translate to his game tape. He appeared in 25 games over the last two years at Arkansas but finished with just 62 catches, 896 yards, and 5 touchdowns. He wasn't consistently impactful to the Razorbacks offense and was guarded too easily for someone who should be able to run past a lot of opponents. Still, he wouldn't be the first player to find more success as a pro than at the college level. Look for the Saints to answer those questions during this visit and potentially look at drafting him during the fifth or sixth round later this month.
