The Saints were defeated for the second time this week by a rehabbing Hunter Greene.

The Cincinnati Reds staff ace was on the mound for both Louisville wins over St. Paul, blanking the Saints 3-0 in the series finale.

St. Paul mustered up just two singles total (one apiece from Orlando Arcia and Hendry Mendes) on the afternoon as Greene went 6 1/3 innings with four strikeouts.

The hit extended Mendez’ streak of reaching base safely to all 30 games he’s played with the Saints and 40 consecutive games going back to his final 10 games with Double-A Wichita.

St. Paul won all three games against Louisville in which Greene did not pitch. One game was lost to a rainout that couldn’t be rescheduled this weekend.
