Mar. 25—SALEM, S.D. — Rosters were announced on Tuesday for the 38th annual Three-Class Shootout prep all-star game, featuring some of the top senior basketball players from South Dakota on the court at McCook Central High School on Saturday, March 28.
The event will feature four games plus a boys dunk contest. Class AA and Class A girls will play at 1 p.m. with the winner facing the Class B girls at 2:30 p.m. The Class AA and Class A boys play next at 4 p.m. with a dunk contest following the conclusion of that game. The winner will also face the Class B boys at 5:30 p.m. in the last game of the event.
On the girls side, area players include Addie Siemsen (Mitchell) in Class AA; and Liz Boschee (Sanborn Central/Woonsocket), Mak Scott (Lyman), Sophie DeLange (Corsica-Stickney) and Emmie Hausmann (Burke) in Class B.
On the boys side, Mitchell's Colton Smith was selected to the Class AA squad. Bridgewater-Emery's two senior standouts Ben Weber and Holden Wollmann were each selected to the Class B team, along with Wessington Springs' Colby Flowers and Parker Graff, and Freeman's Tate Sorensen and Gregory's Colt Keiser.
Three Dakota Wesleyan University basketball coaches will each be in charge of a team, which include Tiger women associate head coach Celeste Beck (Class A girls), Tiger men head coach Sam Nicholson (Class AA boys) and assistant coach Jordan Riewer (Class B boys).
Midwest Sports Plus will be covering each of the games, plus the dunk contest for people to watch the live coverage.
