Ross Steelman had the shot of a lifetime Sunday on the Korn Ferry Tour.
The winner of the Blue Championship earlier this month, Steelman sits fourth in the Korn Ferry Tour rankings and has almost guaranteed himself one of 20 PGA Tour cards available after the Korn Ferry Tour Championship later this year. But the highlight of his season may have come on the par-4 15th hole Sunday afternoon at the Evans Scholars Invitational.
Steelman made the sixth ace on a par-4 in Korn Ferry Tour history, hitting driver from 352 yards away and into the hole at The Glen Club in Glenview, Illinois. Of the six aces on par 4s, Steelman's is the second longest, with Timmy Crawford making a 1 in 2024 at the Blue Championship on a 365-yard hole taking the cake.
The ace propelled Steelman to a third-place finish, eight shots behind winner Tommy Morrison, the 21-year-old who won in his fourth professional start.
