The major announcements keep on coming from Ronika Stone Love. The latest one: The professional volleyball player is retiring from the game.
Stone Love, the wife of Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love, made the announcement in a moving Instagram post Thursday, Feb. 19, accompanied by a video of highlights and memories from her career, which included five pro seasons.
"In 2010, I nervously stepped into a volleyball tryout not knowing this sport would change my life forever," the middle blocker and social media personality wrote in the post. "And now, 16 years later, here I am saying goodbye."
The court is where Stone Love – who is pregnant with her first child with Jordan – grew up and learned the most about herself, she shared in the post. She credits the sport for introducing her to her best friends, amazing coaches and the most beautiful places.
Stone Love – a former All-American volleyball player at the University of Oregon – thanked several of the organizations she's been a part of for welcoming her with open arms: Volero Le Cannet in France, AU Pro Volleyball, Las Pinkin De Corozal in Puerto Rico – with whom she won back-to-back championships – and the San Diego Mojo of the Professional Volleyball Federation (now called Major League Volleyball), the team she spent her last two pro seasons with.
In her final season, Stone Love earned second-team all-league honors, was named to the all-star team and was third in the league in blocks.
"So many ups and downs. Laughs and tears. Moments where I felt like I hit rock bottom and others where I felt on top of the world," she wrote in the post. "This sport showed me the beauty of emotion. Of adapting. Of asking yourself: What are you going to do when things aren’t going your way? Who are you going to be?"
It's already shaping up to be a monumental year for Stone Love – and it's only February. On New Year's Day, Ronika and Jordan shared that they're expecting their first child together, a baby girl. Earlier this month, Stone Love was unveiled as one of the digital cover stars for "Sports Illustrated Swimsuit's" February 2026 digital issue. Being a "SI" model was a dream she had for years. Stone Love was also part of Abercrombie & Fitch's star-studded Super Bowl LX Fashion Presentation, held on the eve of the big game.

In her post, Stone Love penned heartfelt thank-yous to her parents, siblings, coaches, teammates and trainers, as well as media members, club directors, athletic directors and team owners.
"Always my goat " commented Jordan, who will be heading into his fourth season as the Packers' starting QB this year.
"They say athletes die twice — once when they retire, and once when they pass. Dramatic, I know," Stone Love wrote in her post. "But I’m blessed to walk away on my own terms. Literally creating new life and stepping into a new chapter so.. Thank you, volleyball. I’ll never be able to say thank you enough."
