NFL wide receiver Rondale Moore who played for the Arizona Cardinals (which made him a second-round pick in 2021) and the Minnesota Vikings, died at the age of 25 on Saturday.
Per the Louisville Courier Journal, the Floyd County coroner in Indiana, Moore's death was confirmed and "the cause of death is under investigation and an autopsy will be performed Sunday."
Tributes poured in for the talented wideout who totaled 135 catches in three seasons that included 39 games. There were words from Louisville coach Jeff Brohm (who coached him at Purdue), Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell, Cardinals social media and former teammates like J.J. Watt.
"I am devastated by the news of Rondale's death," wrote O'Connell. "While Rondale had been a member of the Vikings for a short time, he was someone we came to know well and care about deeply. He was a humble, soft-spoken, and respectful young man who was proud of his Indiana roots. As a player, he was disciplined, dedicated and resilient despite facing adversity multiple times as injuries sidelined him throughout his career."
