Riq Woolen arrived in Philadelphia with the physical traits to change the look of the Eagles’ secondary, and his offseason work has already made him one of the more intriguing players entering training camp.
ESPN’s Tim McManus named Woolen the Eagles’ biggest surprise player of the offseason in a 2026 NFL offseason breakdown, pointing to the veteran cornerback’s strong early impression after signing a one-year deal worth up to $15 million. Philadelphia added Woolen to solidify the cornerback spot opposite Quinyon Mitchell, and the move gives the Eagles one of the league’s most physically imposing cornerback pairings.
