As the rodeo season begins to wind down, many athletes are looking to either solidify their place in the Top 15 or make a late-season push into NFR qualification. Many top rodeo competitors traveled to Loveland, CO, for their share of over $100,000 at the 2026 Larimer County Fair & Rodeo.
Keenan Hayes took the top spot in ******** riding with an 88.5-point ride on Beutler & Son Rodeo's Smoke Bomb. Jacek Frost finished second with an 87, while R.C. Landingham finished third with an 85.5.
In steer wrestling, No. 4-ranked Tristan Martin topped the leaderboard by nearly half a second. His 3.4 second run earned him $2,378 as he looks to secure his third NFR qualification this year. Coy Johnston and Cody Pratt tied for second place with a pair of 3.8-second runs, while Kodie Jang rounded out the top three in 4.2 seconds.
Team roping saw Lightning Aguilera and Kaden Profili lay down a 4.3-second run for the event championship and over $3,000. Kaleb Driggers and Junior Nogueira, as well as Bodie Mattson and Arye Espenscheid, finished close behind in second with matching 4.4-second runs. Another prolific team – Clint Summers and Jade Corkill – finished fourth with a 4.5-second run.
Mitchell Story finished atop the saddle bronc riding leaderboard after recording 87.5 points on Beutler & Son Rodeo's Another Mistake. Traven Sharon finished second with 85.5 points, while 2025 World Champion Statler Wright finished third with an 84.5-point ride.
No. 1-ranked tie-down roper Riley Webb handily led the field with a 7.7-second run. Webb is chasing his fourth consecutive World Title in 2026 and currently sits nearly $70,000 ahead of No. 2-ranked Joel Harris. Darnell Johnson finished second with a 9.0-second run, followed by Zaine Mikita’s 9.3-second run.
In barrel racing, Abby Fields secured the event title with a 14.47-second run. Jordan Driver finished second with a 14.60-second run, followed by a tie for third between Kappie Bryant and Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi’s 14.63-second runs. We’ve been keeping a close watch on the bubble, especially as the season enters its final stretch. Pozzi Tonozzi currently sits 18th in the world, with less than $3,000 separating her from the Top 15.
Another cowgirl looking to continue gaining momentum – and make history in the process – is Lisa Lockhart. The beloved barrel racing veteran picked up a check in Loveland as she continues her quest for her 20th consecutive NFR. Lockhart is currently sitting 14th in the world, and while she has an almost $5,000 buffer between herself and the No. 15 spot, every dollar she earns could make the difference in her 2026 NFR campaign.
Hudson Bolton wrapped up the weekend with an 86-point win in bull riding on Salt River Rodeo's So Hot. Raile Joens and Mecate Trammell tied for second with a pair of 85.5-point rides. No. 1-ranked cowboy Noah Lee grabbed the final payout spot as he continues to grow his lead in the world standings.
