New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson is in favor of the team trading for Philadelphia Eagles star wide receiver A.J. Brown.

According to Patriots Wire's Sophie Weller, Stevenson said on Sunday that having Brown as a teammate on the Patriots will help the team greatly next season.

“I think he’d do a lot. He’s a great player, obviously. One of the best receivers in the league,” Stevenson said. “That’s above what we do. I just leave it up to the front office. I know they’re going to get people here that will help us win.”

The Patriots are expected to trade for Brown in early June. Brown has long been a name associated with New England in trade speculations dating back to the beginning of the offseason.

The Mississippi native recorded 1,003 receiving yards in 2025. He’s anticipated to inherit the role that Stefon Diggs — the Patriots’ 1,000-yard receiver from last season — had with the team in 2025. Brown is a three-time second-team All-Pro honoree and a Super Bowl champion from the 2024 NFL season.
