After Quinten Post signed a three-year, $30 million contract with the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday, the Golden State Warriors have reportedly come to a decision on how to handle the restricted free agent's offer sheet.
With Post listed as a restricted free agent, the Warriors had the chance to match the offer from Memphis to get the Dutch big man back in Golden State for the future. However, the Warriors won't be matching the Grizzlies' offer, ending his time in Golden State, per Anthony Slater of ESPN. According to Slater, the Warriors decided not to match Post's contract offer from Memphis.

According to Bobby Marks of ESPN, the Warriors not matching the Grizzlies' offer for Post is the first time since 2020 that an offer sheet of $5 million or more hasn't been matched.
Post spent the first two seasons of his NBA career with the Warriors after being drafted in the second round (No. 52 overall) out of Boston College in the 2024 NBA Draft. Post played 109 regular-season games as a member of the Warriors, starting in 49. Last year, Post averaged 7.7 points on 44% shooting from the floor and 33.6% shooting from long distance with four rebounds and 1.4 assists per contest.
Post will now play alongside Zach Edey and first-round pick Cam Boozer in a reinvented frontcourt in Memphis following last season's trade of star big man Jaren Jackson.
With Post landing in Memphis, the Warriors will now have to answer a question in the frontcourt rotation. The Warriors currently have three veterans in the frontcourt: Al Horford, Kristaps Porzingis and Draymond Green (currently a free agent, but expected to re-sign with Golden State). Post played 17.3 minutes per game last season. While Porzingis could cut into that, will the Warriors attempt to bring in another center in free agency? Or will they look internally at players like Graham Ike, Lachlin Olbrich or Charles Bassey?

Quinten Post's three year, $30 million offer sheet in Memphis only had $9 million guaranteed (first season), but the Grizzlies laced it with unlikely incentives that hit apron calculations.
Warriors decided overall price too rich. They aren't matching. https://t.co/t6aXTxPphN

First time since 2020 that an offer sheet of $5M plus goes unmatched.
However, the Bogdan Bogdanovic (Sac to Atl) unmatched sheet was during the 2017 CBA and different set of rules. https://t.co/QY39tKlwoU
