The Philadelphia 76ers have done some roster shuffling over the past few days. With the 10-day deals for Charles Bassey and Patrick Baldwin Jr. expiring, it opened up some roster spots for President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey to play with and make some moves.
The Sixers have brought in Cam Payne on a deal for the rest of the season after he was playing overseas while also converting Jabari Walker from his two-way deal to a two-year contract. That meant the Sixers had an open two-way slot and they will reportedly use that slot to sign former Brooklyn Nets guard Tyrese Martin.
Martin has played for the Atlanta Hawks and the Nets in his career and showed some scoring chops while in Brooklyn where he averaged 8.2 points and shot 34.6% from deep in 97 games across two seasons.
The Sixers have needed some guard play due to the recent trade of Jared McCain to the Oklahoma City Thunder. The addition of Payne on a standard and Martin on a two-way will help in that regard.
