Report: Kane contract extension close to completion
According to English outlet The Times, Harry Kane is expected to extend his contract with FC Bayern until 2029. Talks are scheduled to take place this week when the striker returns from vacation.
Kane’s salary, currently believed to be around €25 million gross per year, is not expected to change significantly. The England captain is very comfortable living in Munich, with his family also settled in the Bavarian capital.
Kane’s camp is reportedly satisfied with the current terms and broadly in agreement with the proposed extension. However, discussions could still take place over various bonus payments.
While Kane was previously expected to return to England in pursuit of Alan Shearer’s Premier League goalscoring record, his focus now appears to be on winning further silverware with Bayern. Having already lifted two Bundesliga titles, the major remaining objective for both the striker and the club is the Champions League.
Kane enjoyed another prolific campaign last season, scoring 61 goals in 51 appearances across all competitions for Bayern. His latest tally took his total for the club to 146 goals since joining from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023.
