A recent court ruling has allowed numerous college athletes to return for a fifth year of eligibility.

Former Wisconsin Badgers guard AJ Storr was the first example of that, but now On3's Pete Nakos reports kicker Nathanial Vakos "is exploring a return to college football."

The keyword is "exploring", so it's not like Badgers fans should expect to see him on the roster in 2026.

That said, there's always a possibility he returns not just to college football, but comes back to Madison.

Vakos is an Ohio native who began his collegiate career in 2022 at Ohio. He went 22-for-27 on field goals and attempted a career-high 50 extra points.

From 2023-25, Vakos played for the Badgers. During his time in Madison, he made 34 of his 49 field goals and was a perfect 84-for-84 with his extra points.
