Indianapolis Colts' defensive end Laiatu Latu was not practicing on Thursday as he works his way through a hamstring injury, according to The Athletic's James Boyd.

This comes after Latu was a limited participant during Wednesday's practice.

Perhaps an off day on Thursday is a part of the practice schedule for Latu this week. But any time a player goes from practicing in some capacity to not practicing at all, it is noteworthy.

Latu played 31 snaps in the Colts' season opener against Miami, which was the most on the team among the defensive end position group.

Latu finished the game with one quarterback pressure, one tackle, and he also had an interception when dropping into coverage to muddy things up over the middle of the field.

#Colts DE Laiatu Latu (hamstring), CB Charvarius Ward (concussion), CB Jaylon Jones (hamstring) and LB Austin Ajiake (undisclosed) are not practicing today.

We will update this article if any new information comes in.

Along with Latu being out of practice on Thursday, Charvarius Ward (concussion), Jaylon Jones (hamstring), and Austin Ajiake (undisclosed) did not practice either.

Awaiting the Colts' defense in Week 2 are the Denver Broncos, who rushed for 151 yards at 5.0 yards per attempt in Week 1. Quarterback Bo Nix was 25-of-40 passing for 176 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions.
