Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson has reported to voluntary offseason workouts on Monday, according to ESPN's Stephen Holder.

The first day of offseason programs for the Colts was on Apr. 21, and Richardson was not present after requesting a trade back in late February.

GM Chris Ballard said that Richardson was down in Jacksonville training at that time. Ballard has often spoken with Richardson's trainer and agent.

These workouts at this time of the year are voluntary. Minicamp, which for the Colts takes place June 9-11 this offseason, is the first mandatory event.

Colts QB Anthony Richardson reported today for voluntary offseason workouts after staying home the past two weeks, per source. With the Colts seemingly no closer to trading him, as he requested, and with no indication they’ll release him, he’s back for the time being.

In Phase II of the offseason programs, the Colts are allowed to do on-field workouts. Contact and any team periods are not permitted.

It remains to be seen at this time when the Colts could actually move on from Richardson. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported a few weeks ago that Richardson's trade market was "soft." The fact that a deal could not get done leading up to the draft or during is a prime example of that.

Ballard also wants to ensure that he gets a fair return for Richardson, who is still just 23-years-old and was the fourth overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft.

"Well, nothing yet," Ballard told Rich Eisen after the NFL draft. "You know, he's still a Colt as of right now. We'll continue to work through that, but he's still an Indianapolis Colt. We've also got Riley Leonard on the roster, who did well last year. So, we'll work through that as we go along."

NFL insider Jeremy Fowler recently reported that, ideally, Richardson wants to land in an "extension of the McVay-Shanahan-LaFleur tree from which to learn."
