The Boston Red Sox equipment truck, packed with everything the team needs for its six-week stay for Spring Training in Fort Myers, is scheduled to depart from Fenway Park at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2.

The celebration of Truck Day has been a Red Sox tradition since 2003, signaling the unofficial start of Spring Training. The truck will likely be unloaded at JetBlue Park on Thursday, Feb. 5 after concluding its 1,480-mile trip.

Red Sox pitchers and catchers will hold their first workout on Tuesday, Feb. 10. Full-squad workouts are set to begin on Feb. 15.

The Minnesota Twins' truck also left from Target Field in Minneapolis on Feb. 2 and is scheduled to arrive at the Lee County Sports Complex on Feb. 6. Twins pitchers and catchers will hold their first workout on Feb. 12 at 7:30 a.m. with full-squad workouts set to begin on Feb. 16 at 7:30 a.m.

  • 1,100 bats
  • 200 batting gloves
  • 200 batting helmets
  • 320 batting practice tops
  • 160 white game jerseys
  • 300 pairs of pants
  • 400 t-shirts
  • 400 pairs of socks
  • 20 cases of bubble gum
  • 60 cases of sunflower seeds
