Eaton is coming off a successful World Baseball Classic stint for Great Britain, in which he slashed .316/ .316/ .579/ .895.

The 29-year-old put together a solid 2025 campaign with the Red Sox after inking a minor-league deal with the organization in November 2024. Originally drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 21st round in 2018 and debuting in the majors with them in 2022, Eaton started 2025 in Triple-A before receiving multiple promotions.

In 41 games for Boston, he batted .296 across 81 at-bats with 24 hits, one home run, four RBIs, 16 runs scored, and nine stolen bases for a .731 OPS. His defensive versatility added important depth as the Red Sox reached the postseason.
