The era of roster continuity in college basketball is effectively over, and I hate it. I loved watching teams grow, learn, fail, and then succeed. Now, if a team doesn’t win it all, most of them won’t be back on the same floor together again.

As the 2026 offseason enters its most volatile stretch, the revolving roster door is spinning faster than ever. Mark Pope is currently managing what is effectively a start-from-scratch scenario, balancing a shrinking group of returners with a list of departures that is probably bigger than he had hoped

We are seeing a significant reshuffling of the deck as former Wildcats find new homes in the Big Ten and SEC, while a small group prepares to run it back in Lexington. Here is the official ledger of every confirmed roster move involving the Kentucky Wildcats so far.
