Real Madrid star may be forced out if Florentino Perez completes Galactico signing

Real Madrid President Florentino Perez, newly elected after defeating Enrique Riquelme on Sunday night in the vote with a comfortable margin, has promised that this week he will make a €150m bid for a ‘Galactico signing’. Los Blancos have been linked with several names to fit that bill, but there is reportedly a preferred name.

The latest links to emerge are to Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez, with Los Colchoneros seemingly demanding €150m in order to do business for the Argentina international. That fee would fit the bid that Perez is keen to make, but last week it was revealed that Real Madrid would be pursuing one of Paris Saint-Germain midfield duo Vitinha and Joao Neves, or Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise.

Olise is seemingly the option that most seduces Los Blancos, with the French forward having shown the Santiago Bernabeu just how good he can be following their Champions League quarter-final this season. Diario AS note that if Olise were to be signed, then it would spell the end of Rodrygo Goe’ Real Madrid career. The Brazilian is currently recovering from a cruciate ligament injury that is likely to keep him out until 2027.

The Brazilian was already struggling for a starting role before his injury, and the arrival of Olise would slam the door on his chances of having sufficient minutes.

Bayern Munich have no intention of selling Olise​

Working in his favour is that Bayern Munich seemingly have no intention of selling Olise. Bayern President Herbert Hainer has been public about the fact, and noted that not even a €200m bid would force their hand. Rodrygo was heavily linked with a move last summer, but the Real Madrid side he will be returning to will likely look very different.
