Real Madrid Basketball have signed a ten-year extension with the Euroleague and will remain in the most prestigious European competition in basketball, ultimately refusing to enter the NBA Europe project that the Association wanted to establish in the continent. That’s according to a report published on AS, with official confirmation expected to happen soon.

The subsequent step is scheduled for Friday, the 26th, at the Euroleague board meeting, which is expected to ratify Real Madrid’s renewal. This endorsement would help finalize the competition’s structure and calendar. The prevailing expectation is approval for a 20-team, 38-round regular season, mirroring the recently concluded one, with the potential inclusion of Turkish club Besiktas replacing AS Monaco, which would be relegated to the Eurocup. All preparations are reportedly in place for assembly approval during the first half of July.
